Dear Praying Friends,Christmas is a busy time here in South Africa. Most people do not get vacations throughout the year, but rather get as much as the whole month of December off. Our church is busy with special programs which many visitors come to. One of my favorite programs is the Carols by Candlelight - it has an old fashioned feel and brings back some special childhood memories. Our children worked hard during the month of November to prepare for our December 3rd Children's Christmas Play. This play marked the beginning of the Christmas season for many people.
The picture is from the beginning of the play. Evan plays grandfather, and Rachel is his granddaughter. (You may notice a canny family resemblance). Grandfather is asked to tell a story, and he chooses to tell the story of Jesus. The story then begins in the background as they finish their o pening lines. Nathan, the herald, is beginning the story.
