Family NewsMarch 2005Just the other day I told Nancy how fast time seems to have gone by since we arrived here in South Africa. We both agreed that a busy schedule will do that. While the ministry keeps us on our toes we also allow a little time for fun and new experiences. Our house came with mature grape vines and an apparent new hobby. So we have learned how to make grape juice! We have tried three different ways of making juice and each time the juice has been tastier. The first trial had just a little bit of aftertaste, but by the third time we eliminated that problem. I think we could now give Welch's a run for their money! Juice making is a hobby the whole family can enjoy: John is chief picker, the kids are the desteming crew, then Nancy runs the juicing machine, Nathan and Evan are in charge of the filtering process, John does bottling, and Nancy finishes the process with flash pasteurizing. |
