I typically am very careful where I put my hands. I look first in containers, even closed ones. But I never saw a thing. I didn't even feel a bite or sting. A few days later it was clear that I had been bitten by what the doctor called a "violent spider." With a swollen and painful hand, I am on antibiotics. Spider bites are not troublesome, unless you do not treat them and they turn into a case of blood poisoning.
